How to use the Kenya NTSA eCitizen Portal

There is no doubt that the Kenya NTSA eCitizen portal has made life easier for Kenyans in so many ways. Services that would have required a whole day to obtain can now be obtained in less than 10 minutes, thanks to the Kenya NTSA eCitizen portal. It is also possible to obtain services wherever you are (even in rather remote parts of the country) – these being services that would otherwise have forced you to travel the major towns or perhaps even to the capital to obtain. The services in question here include Kenya interim driving license application, Kenya provisional driving license application, Kenya driving class endorsement and Kenya driving license information corrections. Others include Kenya driving license booking, Kenya driving license renewal and Kenya duplicate driving license application.

The Kenya National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) eCitizen portal is fairly easy to use. It is designed in such a manner that anybody with basic computer literacy and ability to use web-based applications can use it with ease. Those who are unable to use the portal themselves can always get assistance from cyber cafes, at fees that are rather modest, compared to what one would previously have spent to obtain the same services.

Now to use the NTSA eCitizen portal to get any service, follow these 4 simple steps:

1. Enter the eCitizen portal’s address (ecitizen.go.ke) into your browser, so as to have the portal load on your browser.
2. Once the eCitizen portal loads on your browser, click on the ‘Services’ link, which is to be found on the main menu near the top.
3. After clicking on the ‘Services’ link, on the screen that appears, click on the ‘Driving’ link (from the ‘All Services’ list on the left hand side of the page).
4. After clicking on the ‘Driving’ link, various NTSA service options will appear in the subsequent screen. Click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under the specific service you are interested in. For instance if you wish to apply for your provisional driving license from NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option. If you wish to apply for an interim driving license from NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option. If you wish to get a driving class endorsement from NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option. If you wish to undertake driving license information corrections from the NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option. If you want to book a driving license with NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option. If you wish to renew your driving license with NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option. And lastly, if you wish to get a duplicate driving license from NTSA, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link under that option.
